Watch sea turtles, breathe in the aromas of a spice garden with explanations of the plants and spices, and visit Galle with its historic fort and lighthouse. Along the way, you’ll encounter endemic reptiles, countless colorful birds, monkeys, and even leopards. If you bring your swimsuit, you can take a refreshing dip in one of the park’s crystal-clear waterfall pools. Matara is a bustling and expansive trade city with Dutch colonial architecture, well-preserved fortifications, and vibrant street life. The small town of Ella is located on the southeastern side of Sri Lanka’s highlands, surrounded by stunning nature. Picturesque hills, deep gorges, dense jungle, and roaring waterfalls characterize the area. The Nine Arch Bridge is one of the most photographed spots and a must-see. Ride the scenic train to Nuwara Eliya through lush tea plantations and beautiful landscapes. Climb Adam’s Peak, a 2,243-meter-high mountain in the central highlands with deep religious significance. Then visit Kandy with its beautiful botanical garden featuring plants from around the world. Explore the lively city, visit the Temple of the Tooth, and walk along the lake. The tour ends with a transfer to Colombo or your beach hotel. The tour can also be done in reverse, and additional highlights such as rafting or ziplining can be arranged.
