On this journey, experience the rich culture of Sri Lanka: the Dambulla cave temple, the royal city of Anuradhapura, and a climb up the Lion Rock with breathtaking views and the famous Cloud Maidens. Visit the city of Kandy, the hidden mountain kingdom, with its sacred Temple of the Tooth, walk along the lake and explore the bustling city life. At 1,868 meters, the small town of Nuwara Eliya awaits you, surrounded by lush tea plantations, cascading waterfalls, and incredible viewpoints. From there, take the famous panoramic train ride to Ella — with open doors, beautiful green scenery, and a relaxed pace. Ella is located on the southeastern side of the Sri Lankan highlands, surrounded by picturesque hills, deep gorges, dense jungle, and roaring waterfalls. The Nine Arch Bridge is one of the most photographed spots and well worth a visit. Then head out on a jeep safari in the famous Yala National Park. Keep an eye out for elephants, deer, crocodiles, peacocks, and many bird species. You might even spot a leopard or a sloth bear. Buduruwagala is an idyllic jungle site: the elephant-shaped rock with Buddha statues lies in the south of the island and is rarely visited by tourists.
