The Dambulla Cave Temple, the Golden Temple, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Anuradhapura is the capital of Sri Lanka's North Central Province. It served as the center of various Sinhalese royal dynasties for over 1,000 years. Climb the Lion Rock in Sigiriya, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offering breathtaking views and a visit to the famous Cloud Maidens. Travel to Kandy to visit the Botanical Gardens, the city, and the sacred Temple of the Tooth, where a tooth of Buddha is kept. Nuwara Eliya lies in the highlands at 1,990 meters, surrounded by lush tea plantations, waterfalls, and the famous English post office. Visit a tea factory. Enjoy the beautiful nature and pleasant temperatures at Horton Plains National Park. The small town of Ella is located on the southeast side of the Sri Lankan highlands and is surrounded by picturesque hills, deep gorges, dense jungle, and roaring waterfalls. Visit the famous Nine Arch Bridge. Return to Colombo or head to your beach hotel. This journey can also be tailored to your personal preferences.
